One task I finished during the holidays 08 was submitting Property Tax Appeal form to the country Assessor Office.

It is actually fairly easy to do, just go to their site to download a form (http://www.sdarcc.com), fill out, sign and send out.

The only tough part is that you have to find at least 3 comparable sales in your neighborhood in the past 3 months, with exactly parcel number, address, size of the home, sale price, and sale date. While this may be easy for some realtors, I had to combine several websites search to compile that information, which wasn’t too difficult.

So, with about 2 hours of work, I requested for more than $1K property tax reduction. Let’s see how it goes. Cost wise, $500 per hour isn’t bad, is it?
